Van leasing

Our work van is on its last legs....just wondering if leasing is a better option than getting a used van on finance. I dont have the budget for brand new so would have to be a used van but having seen a friend having to pay out over 4k recently for repairs on his vehicle, I am considering looking into leasing.
As far as I can see, I would pay a deposit then monthly amount. I would be responsible for things such as tyres and general repairs. But as leased vans are usually under warranty, anything major goes wrong, thats covered by the warranty?
Ive tried to find some impartial info but all the articles I look at have affiliate links and make leasing sound like the best thing since sliced bread.
What do i need to know about leasing?
Thanks

Don't bank on warranty covering everything else.
If you are going to lease, at least go for new.Life in the slow lane1 -
Who will be driving your nice shiny new van? Careless employees can soon rack up nasty
repair bills. Mechanical damage through negligence isn’t covered by a warranty.
Even if it’s just you driving like a nun, new vans are also a magnet to tool thieves.

I admit to being a fan of leasing - I've leased my last 2 vehicles. . And FYI, You can pay to have maintenance covered too if you like.
Downsides include finding a deposit each time, being tied to the lease period (expensive to terminate early), excess charges if you go over the agreed mileage, charges for damage at the end of lease that aren't fair wear and tear.1 -
