End supplier failure cover

I've decided to book my flights and accommodation separately, which I've read accounts for more trips than package holidays, so shouldn't be difficult. However, having booked my accommodation already for next year, I need to get insurance sorted pronto, yet I'm struggling.
Can anyone offer advice please?
I've tried all the comparison sites and around ten direct quotes and no one is offering end supplier failure cover anymore. I've seen a few companies' official statements saying that they no longer include it, usually from around Dec '23 to April '24. What happened in the insurance industry? Did they collectively decide to get rid?
Can anyone point me to a company that does still include it?
What is everyone else doing that are booking their deals separately? Are they taking the risk?
I've read that if I book my flights direct with the airline and I book with my credit card, assuming it's over £100 (which it will be), I'll be covered for those with my credit card. So I have a solution for that.
However, my accommodation is through vrbo and I believe the rules are different. I can get a full refund up to about 6 weeks before I think, but after that if anything changes, I'm at risk of losing all my money. vrbo say they'll help find an alternative if it all goes wrong, but if I don't like what they're offering, I'll be forced to take it or lose out. Seems harsh to me.

Yes I travel independently, too.
I am afraid these days, I just treat my Travel Insurance Policy as one that I hope will pay up if there are medical issues. But for the rest I do not expect much, if anything.
I travel on a huge Airline which I hope won't go bust.
And then my hotels these days are the big international chain-ones, where you book on-line and can cancel any time up to 24 hours before.
It pushes my costs up doing it this way, of course. (I hope the hotel will be worth it!!)

LV's premier policy still includes end supplier failure but they are in a small minority of still offering cover.
