I'm all sorted and ready to leave for Glasgow for my dental appointment. My cleaner is coming this morning so I had to whizz away the clutter off the coffee table. Apart from that the house is presentable.Yesterday was pleasingly warm though the sun never made an appearance, it stayed behind the dense white cloud. This morning there's a hint of blue sky peeking through and it's already at a pleasant temperature. Despise my efforts yesterday there's still plenty of left-overs in the fridge, I think I'm turning into my mother!I hope that everyone is doing fine. Lovely to see you again @Nan.8

Morning All
Overcast and drizzly this morning, just what you need for the last day of term to get you in the holiday mood! I'm off first thing tomorrow morning for my adventure to Vietnam but hope to keep up with you whilst I'm away.
Good to hear from you Nan, hope you get time to relax soon, pleased to hear your DDad is improving.
Safe travels Gers, it's miserable down here!
The walking group sounds good SO, something else to focus on whilst you chat.
Sounds like you had a good time at your DS's wedding Coxy, hope the EA valuation is favourable.
Poor little one dp1, I've heard that dry socket is very painful, a friend had it and was in agony. Hope she recovers quickly.
Hugs to anyone in need, take care. XX8 -

Morning from a field in Mid-Wales
Lovely day yesterday walking in the Hafren Forest where the River Severn starts - we didn’t do the ‘strenuous’ walk to the source but some lovely waterfalls. Bonus getting there early as we had the first 90 minutes to ourselves with lots of birds and birdsong.B-dog had a sore paw and leg again so I think we will need to see the vet again as it just won’t go completion.
Off to the coast today - living in central England, I crave the sea and it’s been 10 weeks since I saw it!DP - hugs for little one, hope she improves soon
Gers safe travels
Camelot - enjoy and please do share your experiences - Vietnam and Cambodia were always on my bucket list.

Morning all
Looks to be another lovely day with wall to wall sunshine, yesterday was lovely but so hot I just don’t think we can cope with too hot in this country ! We had a lovely day yesterday though we went for a walk around the shops and then found a shady spot for a picnic lunch then walked along the seafront to a local park and then found a shady spot and sat for an hour with an ice cream and chatted it was really nice.
Today I am off to collect Rob and take him to work I hope he is more suitably dressed today, yesterday he came with a vest under his t shirt a big winter coat thick joggers and thick socks he was far too hot bless him I hope his mum has put shorts on him today !Dinner tonight will be some salmon with new potatoes and some veg we will probably eat in the garden again as it seems rude not to !Camelot have the best time xxx
Topsy I hope your DS continues to recover xx
Have good days all and take care xx9 -
Morning all. Another hot day here and the fan is already on.
Didn't get too much done yesterday so have a bit of catching up to do but I'll be helping out at the Larder this morning. One of my Morris sides was dancing out at a pub beside the Grand Union canal last night and luckily it had cooled off quite a bit. The pub bought us all a drink and we had a small audience. We seem to have gained a few followers, who have been coming to watch for the last few weeks, so that's nice.
Think it will be eggs in some form for lunch and then smoked mackerel salad tonight.
Take care everyone.10 -
Morning folks and thanks GERS. Have a safe trip for your appointment. It's very overcast here but also very warm. And forecast to reach a high of 26 deg. Best make the best of it whilst it lasts as rain is waiting in the wings for the end of the week.
It's bus trip day today, probably Skipton again, but no doubt the coach trippers will be thronging the town, milling aimlessly about. As long as we can nab a table for our lunch I'll be happy. I have a longing for the tasty halloumi dish I had last time.
I made my promised little trip down into town yesterday and it was quite busy, nearly like it used to be. I bumped into someone I haven't seen for ages and we had a nice little catch up. I got my hair colour and put that on last night so I feel more presentable today. Skunk look no more! I also got a pair of white copped pants (without trying them on) and sadly they are going back. Not impressed with the fit of them.
Have a lovely day folks if you can. CAMELOT enjoy your adventure. My bus buddy and her DH toured Vietnam quite a few years ago and loved it. NAN good to see you back with us and also to hear dad is slowly on the mend. COXY the wedding sounded lovely. SO I'm so pleased you are joining in with the walking group. AA happy holiday. ((HUGS)) for all in need of them. Take care all xx

Morning all,I had a disturbed night with the dog, at 2.30 she was pacing about and panting for ages. I think she was too hot, settled eventually and was still asleep when it was time to go for her walk.I'm off to have lunch with my cousins at our usual place- I bet it'll be busy as it's at the side of a big fishing lodge/walking area.It seems ages since we got together. We had an easy tea of 'chaffles' made in the waffle/toastie maker last night, I had a lot of eggs in the fridge, and not much else, order coming tomorrow morning. It might be another quick one tonight, Ds is not at home until later and we're on pick up duty, might make halloumi fries as there is quite a bit of that in the fridge.Coxy, lovely to hear about DS wedding, congrats to the happy couple.Camelot, bon voyage for tomorrow, DS1 went to Vietnam and Cambodia with his then girlfriend after they finished uni, (part of a gap year that included Australia, NZ, & Thailand) ,they loved it.Right better have a tidy round, then shower & change - my closest cousin will collect me at 11.30. Morning everyone
Very foggy here this morning, I can't see past the bottom of my garden.
Thanks for all the hugs for little one, hopefully her medicine will arrive at Boots this morning.
I'm off to Newcastle this morning to see my denture man. I'll have a wander round the shops afterwards and have some lunch - maybes a picnic lunch if the sun comes out.
Camelot - lucky you being on the last day - we still have 3 weeks to go. Enjoy your trip to Vietnam - my eldest DD loved it there.
Coxy - it was lovely to hear about your sons' wedding.
SO well done for joining the walking group. It should be easier to talk to people than when you're sat in a circle, looking at each other.
Best get moving - I hope everyone has a good day x10
