Royal Mail Click & Drop pick up service from home - parcels not scanned and now missing

Hey everyone! Hoping a few Royal Mail staff on here can help. I have been using the Click & Drop service for a couple of years now and never had a problem. On Thursday 20th June 2024, Royal Mail were due at my door to collect some parcels I had processed the day before for collection. About an hour before they came, I processed 3 more additional parcels and added them to my scheduled pick up (a 2nd class long tube, Tracked 48 small parcel, and an international large letter). A new face collected my parcels and scanned those I had done the day before no problem, but he could not figure out how to scan the 3 additional parcels because they had been added on that day. He told me he'd take them to the office as someone would know what to do.
Fast forward to Monday 24th June, and these 3 parcels had still not been scanned in, tracking states they are still awaiting collection from me. I went to the depot, and the gentleman there managed to get the guy who took the parcels from my house - he said he remembers them, and that they were taken to the office as promised and will be in the system now and for whatever reason are not showing when tracked. I was reassured they would turn up and to be honest I do trust/believe him.
However, it is now Tuesday morning and my original set of parcels have all been delivered and tracked at every step, but the 3 added parcels are still showing as needing collected when tracked and have not been delivered (they were going to trusted family and friends so I know they haven't arrived).
Has anyone got any tips or advice on what my next steps should be? I understand these 3 parcels taken to the depot would have got separated from the original delivered lot, but even so 5 days later without any info on them is of concern. I am hoping they were left in a bag, forgotten about, and will be processed soon!
I will update this thread whenever I get new info.

***UPDATE*** As of today, Tuesday 25th June, the parcels have scanned in at the local depot. I lean on the side of believing that heading to the depot yesterday has triggered a memory that the parcels were left in a bag, on a van, or somewhere. Either way, they're in the system and will no doubt be delivered soon!2
