So lovely to hear from you @Coxy - and a post stuffed full of happy news, unlike my own!
The wedding sounds splendid and it was perfect that your DDad managed to attend. I was thinking that you could relax now until I read the preparations to move house. What a whirlwind of a year.
The dull start turned into a dull middle with a splattering of raindrops to keep us on our toes. I've got two bags of stuff to go the CS tomorrow, it's good to have them leave the house. The remaining fresh food has been arranged into a lunch of sorts, nothing you'd find in a decent, or even half decent restaurant but it'll be tasty.7 -
Hi everyone,
Congratulations to your DS and his bride Coxy.
It's very warm here, I have been to sing and sign with Esther, she usually goes on Friday's with Laura but is away for the next two and they are the last for this term so I took her up to St Neots for one. She's now asleep, hopefully for an hour and Laura is due home soon because she wanted to pack to go away so she blocked off the afternoon.
Steve is asleep with a migraine so didn't go to golf and I am wondering whether I can be bothered to bake this afternoon - I might wait until this evening when hopefully it will be a bit cooler.
Have a good day.9 -
Hello all, sorry to have been away so much but we're still doing the rounds with hospitals and appointments and this is the first time we've been home before 3/4pm, when we've collapsed in the chairs with a fortifying coffee or two.
Dad is still in hospital but now in the stroke ward having physical and occupational therapy and thankfully is progressing but it is going slowly. His left leg is still weak and also he doesn't have fine movements in his left hand. He's fed up with being in there, which is understandable, but thinks he can go home and resume his old way of life 🤔
I had to visit the dentist last week too as my filling fell out, or so I thought. On further inspection I realised that half of my tooth had broken off along with the filling so I had an emergency appointment with my "Super dentist".
All I have been doing in my spare time ( insert demented laughter here 🤣) is doing the washing plus Dad's so I'm glad the weather has been dry but overcast, no idea where the sun has got too though, I've forgotten what that looks like !
Hope everyone is keeping well, hugs are available if needed. Happy holidays to those going away, have a safe and lovely time.
Take care all, I will post when I can.

Hello everyone I'm late again
If I'd posted this morning I could have said it was hot and sunny...now I have to say it's very dull and drizzly though still warm - bye bye summer!
Little one is having a bad week, bless her. She managed the morning at school yesterday with her feeding pump in a backpack, but DD picked her up at lunchtime as she had PE in the afternoon. She was in such pain later on that she took her to get her mouth checked at the dentist and it turns out she has something called dry socket in both the gaps where she had teeth removed. The dentist had never seen it in a child and, after googling, it seems it's quite rare - but unfortunately little one has it. Medicine has been ordered and should be at the chemist tomorrow. Little one has hardly eaten anything since last Wednesday, just a few pouches of pureed fruit so she still is on her feeding pump all the time. She has another appointment at the dental hospital on Thursday - DD is expecting her to be off school all week now. Luckily she's not back at work until Friday afternoon, when little one can come to me.
Other than that, my mam put the wrong number for her debit card in 3 times yesterday, so her card has been blocked...so I had that to sort out this morning. Luckily there was a spare card for my dad in the drawer.
Right...that's my news - hope everyone has a good day x

Oooh dp1 I've heard that dry socket can be really very painful. Even more so in a child. Poor little 'un. Hope her and her mum can have a restful night and the medication will help her tomorrow x

Just catching up been working 12 hour shifts for last 5 days.
DP1 sorry to hear about dgd, hope the medication helps with the pain. So hard for her to face all this when she is so young. Sending hugs to you and your daughter & little one.
Was meant to be doing gardening today but it’s just too hot. Might try and do a bit later if it cools a little.
had to go to Addenbrookes yesterday evening as Ds2 was having a CT scan. Appointment was at 7.30pm. An hours drive each way & he was in for 10 mins. All appears to be going ok with his leg, however the walking to get up to his new normal will take longer than I expected.Camelot have a fabulous holiday
Redruby - glad all went well with dd new boyfriend, he sounds lovely.Sorry if I have missed anything.Enjoy the rest of your evening.8
