First time stoozer-advice pls.

Thanks to Martin am finally in the posn of being able to stooze:j Would appreciate advice pls. I have got egg money. I have cap1 cashback card on which we do all spending.

Intend applying in dh's name for stooze card/s. We have v. good credit rating,so far no trouble with limits etc although we only got debt free by tarting-last card was dh on cap1(0%bt for a year, small handling charge at the time); just closed it as no other offer forthcoming-impressed though they let us have two different cards at the same time.

Really looking for fast stoozing (I understand it 100%-but could work on the slow stooze!) but am confused as to whether its worthwhile given the high handling fees now being charged?
We would transfer to icici hisave. Already have some money in there so could bump up interest nicely.

Also I saw a link once to a chart showing which banks belong to the same stable. Any ideas where I could find this pls?

Is this the chart you meant of cards which belong to the same stable?

Stoozing is still worthwhile but you need to pick and choose your cards carefully. There are a few capped fee cards around and there are some uncapped ones where the length of the deal makes it profitable still. Take a look at Martin's stoozing article or the main cards table on the stoozing website for a list of suitable cards.

  • Thanks Clariman, yep that's the one. Might go for a capped one and maybe try to get to grips with the slow stooze!

Might go for a capped one...
Why go for a "capped one" when you can get 5-8 months fee-free with Capital One, Britannia*, N&P*, and Ulster Bank?

    * Must be an existing customer, but savings accounts can be opened easily. ;)
  • Just can't quite get my head round whether I would be better off initially with a slow stooze with 0% deal or go for something like Virgin with the 2.98% fee but for longer-easier to manage.
Also assuming cap1 won't give dh another card, but he has never had the balance transfer specific card so you never know.
