How do I change a watch battery (Nordgreen)?

I bought a watch from https://nordgreen.co.uk/. The battery lasted three years, which is good, but now I can't replace it. Their website used to say that it was easy to replace batteries yourself https://nordgreen.com/blogs/guides/how-to-change-a-watch-battery but I couldn't figure out how to do it, and after I contacted them to ask for better instructions they took the page down! They say to take it to a watch repair shop, but I can't find one near where I live (Camden). They say it needs a special tool. Anyone know anything about a special tool that I can buy to do this job? Or should I make a journey elsewhere in London to sort this out?

Thanks.

Have you tried Timpsons?  They do battery replacements and seem to be just about everywhere.

Looks similar to a screw on airtag battery cover.  Wearing a rubber glove should allow enough purchase on the back to unscrew it.

Youtube is also useful for other ideas.

Thanks. I'll try Timpsons. Rubber gloves haven't helped and I don't think this is a screw in cover anyway - there is a very slight notch on one side which would be for leveraging the cover off.

It's wuite common for watches to have a little recess where the back meets the front.  A narrow tool, such as a small screwdriver or "spudger" can pry the halves apart.
    If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.

I've tried it, without success. The recess is so small and I'm worried about injuring myself if the screwdriver flies off into my wrist where I'm holding the watch down.

I'd go to Simpsons (or another watch battery/repair place- sometimes department stores and shopping malls have them too). Don't attempt it yourself. It'll be several hours of your life that you'll never get back and the chance of it ending in tears will be massive.... :)

You probaly need one of the first two tools listed here.  Don't use a screwdirver

Check Youtube videos for how to use them

Timpsons used to have a deal.  You paid a sum (it was £16 in 2019) and that included free watch batteries for ever.  You had to name the type of watch.

I don’t know if they still do this

They did last year when I had a battery changed by them. I think the cost was now £23 or thereabouts
