Miami Flights

Hi guys, we're considering booking a holiday to Miami and as BA currently have a sale on checked flight prices. Coming in at just over £1k for 2 adults for our dates (Apr 2025). Looking for advice from anyone who has experience on pricing for this route (Heathrow > Miami). Is this reasonable or are we likely to be able to do better?

Flight prices in general seem to have increased greatly over the past 12 months or so.  I'm not sure that past experience is really going to give you much of a guide to whether prices currently on offer will drop over time.
One route we travel (in Europe, not to USA) has prices increasing by around 30% for 2025 over the price we paid this year for the same dates.

BA Holidays have just launched a sale.  Sometimes a package can actually be cheaper. You just need to add one night accommodation or car rental and sometimes you see savings over the flight-only fare.  Might be worth pricing up on BA Holidays.

Agree. Pairing a BA flight with car hire and or accommodation can sometimes make very good value. I've had an occasion where the week's car hire only cost an extra £10 than the flight only price.

Also means you onlt have to pay a deposit on booking, baggage included in the price etc.

It's also mentioning BA Holidays have a double tier point offer on still, if staying for a week before the end of June 2025 as a flight+hotel or flight+car package. If either of you are (or will be) frequent users of BA, this might be something to factor in!

If you travel in WTP instead of WT, this will give you instant Bronze membership (90 points each way, doubled overall), and will get you free seat selection 7 days out and priority check in/boarding on future flights for the next ~18 months following this trip (as well as priority if there are issues on route)

Thanks for the replies, we ended up booking the flights as mock bookings for other dates were significantly more expensive. As the dates are so far in advance we were able to secure the upper deck which is a 2-4-2 configuration rather than the 3-4-3 of the lower deck. We also spent a little extra on extra leg room seats as the price increase to premium economy was over £1.5k.
