Credit Record from 2006

Options
Financial Ombudsman has agreed to look at my Irresponsible Lending claim for my M&S credit card. Problem is the FOS wants to see a copy of my credit record from 2006?

How do I go about getting this?

With some difficulty in terms of credit record. Or do they want to see your monthly credit card statements to see what you spent the money on.

This is exactly what’s been asked of me to produce

     “

    • copies of your bank statements for your main account for the following dates:

    July/August/September 2006

    Mar/April/May/June 2007

    Mar/ April/May/June 2008

    • a copy of your credit report from the time?
    • can you confirm what your approx annual income was in 2006,2007, and 2008?”

As I said on your previous thread:

Getting bank statements from over 6 years ago is unlikely.

There isn't any way as far as I'm aware, they are updated continuously and old data drops off so they'd have no reason to keep old ones.

The letter asking for information will be a standard template letter.

Your complaint dates from 18 years ago, they know as well as you do no records will exist from that long ago.

Just supply what you can, and tell them you can`t produce the rest due to the passage of time.

The age of your complaint is always a determining factor as to whether its successful or not.
