Thank you for reading. I have had these in my garden and wonder if they are edible? What are they? 
Initial mortgage bal £487.5k, current £258k, target £243,750(halfway!)
Mortgage start date first week of July 2019,
Mortgage term 23yrs(end of June 2042🙇🏽♀️), 
Target is to pay it off in 10years(by 2030🥳).

    Top picture is a Hypericum (St John's Wort) - not sure which species, bottom picture is Mahonia.  I wouldn't eat the former - think they are toxic.  Allegedly one can eat Mahonia berries - personally I'd stick to blackcurrants!

    Hypericum is considered poisonous.

    However you can eat the berrries of the Mahonia, also known as Oregon grape.
     Considered good for making syrup or hedgerow jelly etc,

    I'd suggest they're good for cooking with - but not eating directly from the bush.

    Supposed to be very astringent with seeds, so sugar/sweetener and sieving would make for supplemental source of vitamin c :)
