Sounds simple - especially since I've had it a while.
But it seldom need oil and each time I go to buy the products are different.
I also live rurally so it's Tescos or a diy store that supply.

Last time I took what was suggested Tescos 15-40 and it's run fine.
Differnt range this time and looking online just had every variation.

What should I look for please? Just topped up but like to keep some in the garage so I can do it when it's convenient. Again, rurally anything can happen to supplies.

I can get any of these which are cheaper than Tesco

I don't even know what the numbers mean.
You're help greatly appreciated as it's doing my head in.

You can Google recommended oil for your car. Do you have a manual for your car. That’s  what some people here would do to provide you with a response. When you have googled it, you can order it from Amazon or eBay.

The first thing I did was to google it............
After half an hour of different information on each one I thought it would be helpful to ask on this forum as the responses are usually very helpful and often include an explanation.

Sorry, thought I'd mentioned that in my post. A lot on at the moment and this is one thing that could be solved in a trice - if I knew what to get and understood what the figures mean.

What do you mean it seldom needs oil. It needs a complete oil and filter replacement every 12 months. When was the last time it was serviced? Or is it using oil and needs topping up between annual services?

Go to somewhere like eurocarparts website, put in your registration and it should tell you what oil you need.

failing that we need to know what engine it is as each will have different requirements. Hence quicker for you to do the above.
