Getting State Pension weekly

Hi, is it still the case that you have to claim by phone if you want to receive your SP weekly?  I have my invitation letter but it doesn't look as if the online application asks anything about payment  intervals, so a cancelled out of it while I could.

By the way because I'm sure it will be raised, I am completely sure that weekly would be more convenient for us than four weekly.

The former DWP worker explained: “If you are yet to claim your State Pension, put in the information box on the State Pension claim form ‘Please pay my pension weekly’.”

Useful to hear of this brand new online service. When I changed to weekly payments in February it was phone only.

When I tried to register for this service I got the message you cannot use this service! I am currently receiving my pension so does it only apply if you haven’t started receiving it!

Did you select the 'Letter from the State Pension Team' option? The other two result in that response

..ta for the heads up....I have deferred my SP for a year, but when I do finally get it  I would like it weekly...

It only applies if you are receiving your pension.

It only applies if you are receiving your pension.

Not available to all though.  I get the same message as does MrsM

I deferred for 2 years and claimed by telephone for weekly payments
