Spend planning app recommendation

Afternoon,

it looks like I’m after a very specific app/tool that I cannot find anywhere.

I effectively want to be able to build out a wishlist of things I want to buy and categorise things by Type of  item (clothes,sports,appliances) as well as by need or want.

Then plan which month I can buy it based on my budget.

the idea being I can plan what I buy each month and ensure I don’t forget about any needs before I start impulsively spend it all in the first half of the month. (And allow me to weigh up buying one thing vs another)

I already track my expenses past tense and this would be proactive. And any wish list app I’ve found doesn’t really help with budgeting.

I have a spreadsheet which I use to track all of my expenses across all of my accounts but it goes 18mths into the future, tracking expected income and known outgoings. You could easily add a column to forecast taking money from 1 account into a pot to save for the things you want in the future. Depending upon how much you assign to the pot each month will tell you how long it will take to save.
