Can you help, i need to relocate both my Electric & Gas meters to an external wall as they were originally in my Garage but i have now knocked the garage down and have built an extension meaning both meters are now located within the kitchen space so the meters will need to be moved around 3.5 mtrs.

Who do i need to contact to get a quote ??

You would need to approach the network operators so for you that’s UK Power Networks for electricity and SGN for gas.

Is the consumer unit at the same location?
What stage is the extension at?
  • I assume you contacted UK Power Networks for electricity and SGN for gas?  I just wanted to check before I contact them

You need to know who the regional suppliers are in your area. Gas: https://findmygdn.co.uk/  Electricity: https://www.energynetworks.org/customers/find-my-network-operator
    If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.
