UC benefit Award letter?

What does a UC benefit Award letter look like? I'm applying for student loan repayment deferral and they're saying that's specifically the only evidence of UC benefit that they'll accept. The only things I have from DWP/UC are the online copies of statement/calculation for each AP, that are accessible on my UC account. They also say it has to be from within the last 12 months, whereas if they want the statement/AP calculation they'd be asking for the most recent ones?

You are sent a letter each month with your next payment on it, that is the only letter I am aware of for UC, you can download it and print it. If unable to download, go to print it but use the drop down box and print it as a PDF, this will then allow you to save it as an electronic copy.
Other benefits will give you a yearly award (TC for instance) hence the request for either, depending on which benefit you claim.Proud to have dealt with our debtsStarting debt 2005 £65.7K.

They haven't caught up to date with their request, or are just covering themselves for those still on older benefits. With 'old style' benefits you do get a yearly letter through the post setting out your award for the coming year, and that's what their request is asking for.UC doesn't do letters in the post so just download your latest UC statement and print it off to send to them.0

It's a brand new form this year, and this section is specifically referring to UC award letter. Hopefully they do mean the monthly UC statement, but it's not clearly described like that. And a statement from one single AP doesn't really prove what the other 11 months are, so I'm surprised they only want one. For comparison they're asking for 3 months worth of payslips.0 -
This is how they describe it:

Looks like whomever drafted it still reverted to the wording of older benefits.
There is no other proof UC give (except bank transactions), they can ask for whatever they like but it doesn't mean what they're asking for exists.1 -
It's just a copy and paste then edited by someone who doesn't understand UC.

Yeah I agree... drafted by someone who either was careless or unfamiliar with U/C. There is only the statements... I'd be inclined to provide the 3 most recent. They surely will be familiar with the matter by now. It's an issue we faced a few years ago with an immigration application and U/C ended up doing all they could to help which was send their print outs of the statements which was not really any better than had we done it ourselves. U/C is in effect a benefit awarded each month so there is no annual letter of entitlement."Do not attribute to conspiracy what can adequately be explained by incompetence" - rogerblack1
