Credit Card Refund - paid Euro balance in in Stirling

Options
I paid the balance of a holiday using my credit card and when asked if I wanted to pay in £ or €, I stupidly chose £.  The amount showing on my credit card statement for the payment was over £350 more than it should have been given the current exchange rate.  The holiday company have refunded my payment but will I receive the just the balance or the full payment back?

Refund will be at the current rate of the day it credits your account. So you may be better off or worse off.
In reality, they should have reversed the transaction, will sends it back at thee same rate. So you get back exactly what was taken.

  • Thanks for your reply, I guess I'm worried that there was additional charges/fees because I paid in £ and that these won't be paid back (approx. £350)
