Affinity water credit file issues

I’m looking for some help with some adverse data which has been recorded on my credit file by Affinity water. Affinity water have just gone live with transunion and have started sending data to them. I was in an arrangement to pay which I had been honouring each month to find out they have marked these payment as missed payments. Some of these payments were made well before the agreed due date but they have transmitted these as all missed payment even though the balance on the account has been decreasing each month. I was wondering if anyone can help me on how I can try to get this corrected as they refuse to assist

To add they also allowed someone to overtake my property on their system and closed my account in February because someone had moved in. There was no notification of the account being closed no correspondence sent just a simple takeover. They refused to speak to me as I was not named on the account as a account holder and wouldn’t pass security0

Doesn't make sense. If you've got missed payments on your credit file, it's because you're months (or billing periods) overdue. If someone else told them they lived at your property, they'd close your account down and send you a closing bill. And if the account was in someone else's name, it wouldn't be on your credit report, it would be on their credit report. If you think your account was closed in error, just ring them and tell them and they'll sort it out - there is no benefit in your trying to gain access to someone else's account.0

As soon as I saw they were recording my payment plan as 'late payments', I paid off my bill in full (as I will now be doing in the future). I have been paying my water in the same way for over 20 years, but they have only recently made this change - without informing me. I am furious.0 -
I can't seem to be able to get any word out from Affinity either about precisely why they've started reporting payments to Transunion without agreement or notification (no doubt it is hidden somewhere in the some T&Cs). Thus far it seems to be without issue but reading this thread makes me slightly nervous they'll !!!!!! something up, as I am also on an instalment plan. The fact they do not respond to emails let alone have the courtesy to advise from date X they'll be doing this activity.
They're happy to take our money and pay silly money to their CEO - £709k, yep that's where our increases are going to.0 -
An energy account runs much the same as a credit account, any payment less than what is billed, is then a late payment, no matter what arrangement you make after that with the supplier.
So it will be reported as missed payment until your account is back up to date.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
