Is there actually a fault?
As OP only purchased in April it's taken there is a fault unless demonstrated otherwise,Bradden said:I agree that Argos are rubbish.. however they aren't really denying consumer rights.. they dispute that there is a fault.
I'd suggest the OP seeks an independent report to confirm a fault before they go back to Argos.
From the description the OP has provided it is not clear that the vacuum has a fault - just that it was never as powerful as the OP wished (perhaps comparing against a far older vacuum with a more powerful motor).
Is the vacuum any different now to how it was in the first 30 days? If it is no different, why did the OP not return in the standard return period?
FWIW - I had a new mobile phone from Argos that developed a fault and they swapped it out without any fuss.0
