I used the standard online passport renewal service, paid £88.50 on 31 May. Posted old passport and the requested documents 3 June 2024, which they got on the 4 June.
I received my new passport on the 13 June and I got the cancelled one and documents back on the 15 June. All in all, fast efficient service. I suspect as the school holidays draw closer, there will be the expected delays in processing.

Did the same and paid the extra fiver for secure delivery. They don't use the personal couriers anymore, but Royal Mail, they were the let down in the while process. Other than that, sms and emails at every step of the process, was dead easy
