Dyson animal ball

Hi ya
I have just purchased the Dyson animal ball.the gold top one.
It's supposed to have self adjusting head for going from carpet to hard floors
When I tested it and going from carpet to hard floor the self adjusting head does not self adjust and the Dyson refused to move on the hard floor.
I had to manually alter the head settings which is not what I was expecting to have to do.
Dyson are now sending out a replacement thankfully.
Buy after watching the Dyson video it shows you having to manually adjust.
I presume it is a stock video and not specific to the animal Ball.
Has anyone else had this issue?
