Plum Fintech investment

Hello, this is my first post here.
I've been invited to become a Plum Fintech shareholder. I'm thinking of investing £1000 initially and I've registered my interest in the campaign. I'm told and I've read that this is deemed a high risk investment but would like to know people's thoughts on whether this is potentially a good investment or not.

Thankyou

I've no idea about that one TBH, that's not to say it's a bad thing, I deleted the email when I got it. I want something solid like interest and protection of my money.
Incidentally I'm giving up on Plum, too many relink your linked bank account messages, every week now supposed to be every 90 days.

Maybe if you have a six figure sum invested in a broad selection of larger companies already, adding a £1k investment in Plum where you are gambling on it still existing in 5-10 years time, is ok, as you'll only lose <1% of your investment portfolio if it goes bust.
If on the other hand, you are predominantly a saver or would consider yourself inexperienced at investing, this is not remotely sensible.
As a rule, investment opportunities that are delivered unsolicited to your email inbox should be immediately dismissed.

It is not uncommon for fintechs to tap up their customers to ask for investment.  It sometimes comes when external investment hasn't been easy or cost effective to obtain.

if it pays off, it can do very nicely. If not, you could lose everything.   I was asked by a fintech recently and whilst I liked their product and direction, I didn't have the data or detail to be confident to risk the money relative to alternatives (its not just the capital but what that capital can achieve in alternatives).
