Bedbugs in hotel

NoodleDoodleMan said:I had assumed that was the senario in respect of the last night, thanks for the clarification. As for the full refund claim - if you only complained following the final night of your stay that suggests you were satisfied with the previous days.In which case it seems reasonable that a refund is only appropriate for that 1 night/day.Did you raise the other issues you mention above with management from day one - and are they relevant or connected to the infestation issue ?Incidentally I've just found the only TripAdvisor review - from you.
I don't see how refunded one night would make up for the additional costs I have incurred due to the bedbugs and could possibly occur should anything happen later. The hotel was awful from the start but I didn't mention to the owner all the issues. My husband did ask for the room to be cleaned as I was disgusted by how our feet would go all black from walking around the room. But even after the room was cleaned, the problem was still there. Prehaps if they had better cleanliness then there wouldn't be a bedbug problem in the first place.
Also one of the days the hairdryer (which wasn't funtioning properly since day one) stopped working and then started melting. My husband had to run down and ask the owner to turn off the electricity or the bathroom probably would have caught fire. So the owner was aware of this incident and he came and took the hairdryer off the bathroom wall and then provided us with a new hairdryer.
The room didn't even have a working air con even though it was advertised as having an air con.
Basically there were many issues but I don't want a refund for the other things. A bed bug infestation is not a small issue and I think it warrants a full refund. Especially as I am pretty sure he was aware of the situation. Might explain why there was white powder all inside the wardrobe. The whole hotel is filthy & it's no surprise they have an infestation.

This review is from Google and it's from 10 months ago. To be honest I wouldn't be surprised if the blood stains on the bed sheet are from bed bugs. When I wrote a review on Google yesterday, the initial review was taken down after a while. Then I had to post it again and luckily this one is still live.

Another two reviews and these ones are from booking.com

"A bed bug infestation is not a small issue and I think it warrants a full refund."Other matters aside - when did the bedbug problem manifest itself ?If only on the last night of your stay I reckon a claim for a full refund doesn't stand scrutiny.Obviously our opinions differ - it would be interesting to hear other views.1

Looking at those other reviews, they mentioned beetles in the rooms which does not surprise me as the hotel is dirty. A basic level of cleanliness is something they didn't have.
Yeah I don't think we will agree on this matter but the reason for the post was if anyone had similar issues before and how did they deal with getting a refund? Also I want to know if there's somewhere I can complain to about booking.com still allowing bookings for this hotel given what has happened?0 -

You're not going to get a full refund.

The hotel seem to have gotten a couple of their friends to write some positive reviews on booking.com as well.
Won't be using booking.com again. Also there seems to be a ton of hotels using different names to get more bookings. Like if they have bad reviews in the past, they just change their name & people book with them. This hotel did the same.0
