Wrongful CCJ stopping me doing anything

I recently had a wrongful CCJ put in my name over unpaid bills at a previous address which I was no longer living. This is now being overturned and filed by United Utilities. However I was just in the process of looking for a new car after scrapping my old one and now it seems I have to just wait months for this to be sorted. Meanwhile I'm having to rely on public transport for work and social life (trains are expensive). Do I have any recourse here? They didn't even ask the landlords just found an old (now closed) bank account registered to the address.

Any help at all would be appreciated as this is a really strangely difficult matter with very long obscure time frames. Thanks in advance

Has a set aside been filed with the courts? When that's done the ccj will be removed from your credit file

Yes the set aside has been filed with the courts but I have been told it is an up to 16 week wait for that to occur. In the meantime I'm really put out by this

Forgive me if I'm missing something, but what has the CCJ got to do with your ability - or otherwise - to buy a car?
