Dog Barking Complaint

If I make a complaint to the council regarding a property behind us where the dog constantly barks, would I have to declare it when I sell the house?
If so, would I have to declare it if that neighbour moved out before I sold?

"Muffin Muffin" People at the bottom of my garden used to shout for the dog to come in. DOg never paid any heed, they never went and collected it just stood there shouting at 5/10 minute intervals for an hour or more at bedtime.
Wasn't the dog got up my nostrils more the owners. Anyhow do you have to declare it?
I don't know but could suggest that It's considered good practice to disclose any known issues that could potentially affect a buyer's enjoyment of the property. While not mandatory for noise complaints, you might choose to mention it.
You don't know but if there have been multiple complaints or legal actions regarding the noise, informing the buyer shows you've been transparent about the situation.
Non issue if they move surely?2 -

I mean, strictly speaking the question doesn't exclude "problem neighbours who have already moved on", but why would a buyer be interested in local history?
And the question doesn't just include things you've complained to the council about, so complaining to the neighbour or simply biting your tongue about something worthy of complaint should also be disclosed.0 -
Why complain to council?? What are they going to do, is it their dog?
Surely complain, if to anyone, to dog's owner. Helpful guidances on CaB website....

Yes you have to declare it.
If you didn't the new owner could claim they wouldn't have bought the property if they'd know and could demand you put them back in the same financial position had they not bought the property.
You should declare it even if not on record but if you put in an official complaint then it will be on record and the buyer might be able to prove it (they might be prevented by DPA/GDPR etc.).0 -

i would always prioritize peace of mind now vs some potential issue at some point in the future, which i dont know if it will be an issue at all and how large.
i love dogs but often dislike their owners.
ownership comes with responsibility.
constant barking is an issue to any neighbor.
report them to whoever freeholder or landlord is.0 -
you would have to declare it but you can say the owner has moved away and so the problem has been resolved.0
