Simplest way to move Direct Debits?

I have two bank accounts, both have money paid in monthly, one has all my DD and SO. I'd like to change the DD to go from the other account - is there a simple way to do this, or do I have to cancel them all and set them up again?
Although I've just realised why I left them there in the first place; they all go out monthly and I get paid in the other account 4 weekly, which means I am always out of sync. If anyone knows how to organise this I'd be very grateful

If they are with different banks, you can use CASS to move your DDs around. This will close the account with the DDs though, unless you do a partial switch (which is a separate process that has less protections if anything goes wrong). Otherwise you need to contact the companies concerned and notify them of your new bank details, and they will cancel your existing DD and set up new ones for you.0

Go to the website of the business your DD goes out to. Find the part of your account on there which tells them which of your bank accounts to take the DD from and simply change it to the bank account you wish to use. They will arrange the swap. You can also ring them up to arrange the change if you prefer. It's a good idea to leave plenty of time for the change to be processed, so I'd do it shortly after the DD has been paid out , as this gives them the max time Usually a month to get things working smoothly. It''s actually easier to achieve thatn to explain.I hope I've been clear.2

Lots of my DD are to charities or the council/ utilities suppliers can I do the web change for those? I don't mind doing each one just after it's paid if they would be the most sensible option

last time I did this it was as above. Just went to my online accounts and changed the details there. Doing it at least 105+days before it was due to ensure they had time to change it and then just double checked every one on the day it was due to make sure it had worked and not fallen through any gaps.
I think there was one out of all of them that I couldn't just change online. And one (DVLA) which couldn't be changed and I had to cancel it and then start a new one on the 1st of the month.
Did it all over a couple of months with no issues at all.0 -

I'm in the process of moving some of mine away from the CoOp and, to be on the safe side, will ensure that there are sufficient funds in both accounts for the next DD to be taken from either - at least until the DD shows as registered for the new account.0
