Dcbl unpaid county court judgement

Hello,
I received a parking ticket from a private company for parking 5min on their yellow lines while i was doing deliveries as a motorbike courier. At the time the pcn was sent i was homeless and i found out about that pcn only several months later so the pcn went from 60£ish to around 200£ due to bailifs fees from dcbl. I got that letter in january after visiting my previous address.
I moved to a temporary address from february to april, i updated my address to the dvla and after having to come back to the homelessness life, i set up a royal mail redirection to keep receiving my mails that are sent to that address. A company scan my letters redirected by royal mail and forward them to my storage unit where i live if need be. So there's quite some delays.
In april i sent a mail to the company to tell them i agree to pay for the original price but not for the bailifs fees as i never received the pcn on time. The company kinda replied "i don't care, the bailifs bought the fine so go deal with them". I didn't contact the bailifs and they sent me a letter a month later: "notice of debt recovery - unpaid county court judgement 286.40£".
I had a few pcn from some council and the tfl and they just ask me to fill a specific form and provide some proof and that's it, the bailifs fees were cancelled and i just paid for the original price of the pcn. I don't know how does it work with dcbl ? Who do i have to contact to cancel the bailifs and county court judgement ?
Thank you

If you are unable to pay fees and you are on benefits, you should be able to apply for a set aside without having to pay the associated fees. However, the only way you are going to get this CCJ off your record it to have it set aside.
We need to understand which address the unacknowledged/undefended claim was sent to. Where were you residing at the time? Was the address it was sent to a valid address for service of documents to you? Why did it take so long for you to check/recover post from that address? The claim will not have come out of the blue. There would have or should have been debt collection letters and, more importantly, a Letter of Claim at least 30 days before the claim was submitted.
If the claim was served to an incorrect address or one that you could not have known about the service of it, then the CCJ must be set aside. Otherwise, if you have a good chance of successfully defending the claim (most likely), the CCJ may be set aside. As you are possibly able to get court fees paid for you, it is well worth doing.
Do you have a copy of the original PCN and the N1SDT claim form? There are probably errors and failures in those that can be used to try to not only get the CCJ set aside but for the whole claim to be struck out.

Hello,
Thank you very much for you quick response.
I have been homeless for almost 1.5years. So the dcbl never sent a letter to a place i was living in. They were always sending letters to previous address, so i couldn't receive them.
-January 2023: i became homeless
-january 2024: i go back to my previous address to check if i have some letters and i found out about dcbl. I see letters from them asking me to pay for baillifs fee and a letter to let me know they'll take me to the court.. Dcbl can see i logged in to check the pcn online in january.
-1st january 2024 to 1st may 2024: i move to a room and i update my address to dvla. I leave thay room on 1st may and become homeless again.
-30 may: dcbl tracked my address and send me only 1 letter to that new addres and this the attached notice of unpaid county court judgement. But too bad i already left that property so i couldn't receive that letter.
The only reason i've received it is because i've set up a royal mail redirection that redirect my letters to an agency that then scan my letters to see them on my phone. There's several days, if not weeks, delays.
I'm registered on universal credit but i haven't received payment every month because some months my earnings were enough. I'll receive a payment in 2 weeks then it'll stop as i'm now hired full time. If i apply to set aside within a month does it mean i won't have to pay fees ?

DCB Limited are powerless debt collectors and can safely be ignored.
Nothing you have shown us is from court certified bailiffs.
Have you actually checked with the courts to see if you really do have a CCJ?I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks3 -
Sonia, in this thread you have shown us six images of letters you have received. On four of those images - the four letters from DCBL - your full name is clearly visible.3

We don't know if you will qualify for Help with Fees unless you try. Read the income & savings rules when you Google it.
Read the NEWBIES thread section on setting aside a CCJ and do it PROMPTLY (this week).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hello,
Thanks a lot for the advices. I'm trying to apply for a help with fees because i currently don't have enough money to pay the fee to set aside...and the problem is that the governemnt website ask me for the court or tribunal form number. In the letter that dcbl sent me it dosen't show it.
I've just paid 6£ to search my name and last address to find my ccj but no ccj appear...
What should i do ? Should i contact dcbl to ask the court name ?0 -
I would suggest that it is the CNBC in Northampton you should contact at 0830 tomorrow morning and get the details and copies emailed to you , using that redacted claim reference number and date on that DCBL letter above1
