Has anyone noticed there account number has changed, plus has anyone had a recent bill which has cancelled payments for standing charges and revised charges at a higher price
I don't have a smart meter but my sister did , she has just died and I have informed BG after them telling me they would carry on charging the standard charges until probate has gone threw which they say could take 12 months , one of the bills they sent me had the cancelled and revised higher payment on,
Question about smart meters , does the price on the meter include the standing charges0 -
If you are with a supplier who is transferring to the Kraken system, like British Gas, then you will have a change in account number. I'm not sure of all the companies who are in the process at present but a few have taken it up as it's streamlined everything.MOLLYBUDDY said:Has anyone noticed there account number has changed, plus has anyone had a recent bill which has cancelled payments for standing charges and revised charges at a higher price

Did you talk to the bereavement team at British Gas, they are generally good with sorting out accounts while you go through probate, more so than a normal customer service bod who answers the phone or chat online. You will need to fill in the form on their site or ask to be transferred to them.
There are regular changes in price if the account has been moved to the standard rate. It changes every three months, and the standing charge usually goes up just about every time. It may be a condition of the account now, you would need to speak to the bereavement team I think.
Do you mean the little display unit, or the meter itself which is on the wall, like a normal meter? The standing charge will display on both.

You have posted it onto the end of a thread which has a last post of nearly 2 years ago. Would have be better to have started your own thread. Have asked for it to be split into its own thread.MOLLYBUDDY said:
