Morning All
Thanks for the start Gers, hope you're enjoying your stay.
After the constant rain of yesterday it's dry for now, looks like the sun may shine. Showers due later so the washing can stay inside for now, will put it out if it's fine later.
I had a lovely restful day yesterday, went for a swim, had a saunter about a couple of supermarkets and got 2 t shirts for my trip and a lovely pair of floaty trousers - feel like I'm ready now!
Hope the Mums and Dads are improving.
Last full week at work, all the work will come in this week so need to get my head down and crack on.
Take care. XX8 -
Morning allLooking like it's going to be a nice day today with no rain. Not alot going on apart from a walk in the local park this morning which has a fishing lake so will check up on the ducklings while I'm there :-)Must hang some bedding out before I go and then back to do some ironing and a potter in the garden. Might watch some footie later as there's going to be loads of matches on in the next week. Well done England btw, was a close call. Nearly bit my nails down to my elbows last night.Hope everyone has a good day and the poorlies are feeling better. Take care x7

Good morning all
Thank you for the start Gers, enjoy your time in Northumberland .
Today looks bright and sunny so no excuse to be lazy and not get some gardening done.
Seem to have collected dozens of plant pots over the years, time to sort out a few to keep and part with the rest
Take careIf you walk at night no-one will see you cry.9 -
Good morning, it's quite bright here, it has rained though.
There's some nice clothes in the supermarkets Camelot, and not expensive.
Hope you are having a good time in Northumberland Gers.
It's amazing how the plant pots build up SO.
Hope you get your washing dry Chrisca, it's a hit or miss business these days.
I'm going to visit my old friend up the road this morning, and ring the carpet cleaning man, and there's always other jobs.
Hope everyone h as a good day, take care folks.8 -
Yesterday I drove down in mostly torrential rain, this morning is so lovely, what a contrast. My hotel in Hexham is near the Abbey and only a two minute walk to the theatre. Mark Watson was extremely funny and entertaining. I've had my cooked breakfast and now having a wee rest to digest the food before heading home.I'll catch up tomorrow, meanwhile healing vibes to our poorlies, poorly parents and poorly others.6

Morning all; bright and sunny here so far.
I think the antibiotics have just about managed to win over this sinus problem as it feels a bit better today. Just as well, as I'm having a crown fitted tomorrow.
Today I need to do some ironing and make a lemon cake as a thank you for a friend who helped me out with a parking app on Saturday. It was my first time having to download an App from a QR code and I just got a bit stuck! After that I'll be resting and recovering!
Hope everyone's day goes well.6 -
Morning all, safe journey back Gers, glad you enjoyed the show.Yesterday turned out to be quite a long afternoon for us as DGS and the boys got through to the semi final but there were some long waits in between. Sadly they lost on penalties. Thankfully DGS scored his but 2 of the boys missed and were very disconsolate after. We stayed to watch the final, but his DM,DG and DstepG left then as little sister had had enough, so we ended up taking him home. It was nice to catch up with the other Grandmas though. As our favourite Indian was on the way back, we rang an order through & collected it after dropping him off. By that time it was 7.30 so didnt feel like starting to cook, so pork fillet shuffles forward to tonights meal. The weather was glorious, bit of a wind but such a treat to feel the sun.Back to drizzle today. I hastily booked a T delivery for this morning after we'd eaten, don't know where the contents of the fridge keep disappearing to, no salad stuff, cheese, yogurts...Another expensive shop, even though I went through the basket at checkout and removed some things, sigh...First on the to do list is the kitchen which looks like a tornado has whizzed through itYou took me by surprise Camelot saying it's the last full week, I always forget Scotland school hols start weeks before us.Take care everyone:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. I agree with Scarlet Camelot there is some nice clothes in the supermarkets at a good price .Silver Oldie I keep giving a few pots away it’s amazing how quickly they build up a girl I used to work with her hubby has allotments and he’s always glad of them . Pouring down here and we are due showers all day I’m going to sort through my freezer when I come back in and try and organize it a bit again and do some sort of meal plan for the week other than that just the usual housework. Morning folks. Sausage finger alert as hard work posting on phone.
Sadly no sunshine here but the wind isn't battering the 'van like yesterday. So small mercies! I had a slothful day after a busy and gluttonous Saturday. We left here early doors and enjoyed a yummy breakfast in Knaresborough before we pretended we were tourists and toured the castle grounds etc. After that a warming coffee and somehow managed a scone with jam and cream. When we got to Aunt's she was ready and waiting to take us out for lunch, so more eating followed! A lovely afternoon.
So for rest of the week it will be just me and the sheep. With much reading and footie watching.
Have a lovely day folks if you can and Hugs for poorlies and poorly parents. Take care all be safe xx
