Protective Award Claim Wording

I have offered to submit a Protective Claim award on behalf of myself and some ex-colleagues and have got as far as the "Statement of Claim".
I have been searching Google for some example wording of how I should phrase the statement, but can only find a general template for Employment Tribunal Claims rather than one specific to a Protective Award Claim.
Could anyone help/point me in the right direction please?
And does it matter if the wording is not "legal-speak"? As long as it is clear and precise?

Don't get hung up on words - you simply need to explain clearly why you have a claim. Tribunals are much more informal in terms of language as they are designed to be accessible to lay people. Say what happened (or in this case, I assume, what didn't happen) providing dates and timelines as appropriate; and what you claim is. Simplicity and clarity are always best.

Much be worth seeking advice if you are representing a group of people rather than just yourself.

Thank you both. We have looked at using a solicitor but a) they want 20% of the claim and b) I keep reading that it is easy to do a claim yourself. I am submitting a claim for myself and two others. I think there is another group of ex-employees planning on submitting a claim but they are using a solicitor.
I have written a draft statement now but it is only 4/5 paragraphs long, I have kept it very simple and factual but I do wonder if I have written enough!

Here's a very simple "test". Do you genuinely believe that you have a case? Ignore whether you win or not. That's not the point here. Are you being honest,  telling the truth,  and think you have a claim? If so then the worst thing that can happen is that you lose. So you wasted a bit of time. If you aren't in a union (so can't get free help ) then just go for it. Honestly,  if it's that simple it's that simple. It's not about length. It is highly unusual that tribunals award costs against you,  and you'll be warned in advance if your claim has no merit.

Make sure that you're in a union in future! Nobody ever thinks they'll need it. I am 66 years old.  Joined my union at 17. I needed my union twice. The settlement for unfair dismissal was A LOT more than my union fees for my entire working life! The attempt by a nasty manager to force me out resulted in her failing. Nobody needs a union. Until they do.
