Hi,

I wanted to know if anyone has any experience with transferring limits between two Natwest cards. I have a older card which I'm looking to close, and transfer the limit to my new no fee 13 0% BT card? I was one the phone with Natwest however I couldn't be bothered to wait 20+ minutes.

Thanks in advance.

I've always thought that each card was issued on it's own merit.  If you close the old account then in time you will likely be allowed to increase the limit on the new card.

Unfortunately you can't move debt from one NatWest card to another using a 0% transfer.

    From their website:-

That's not the question I asked.

Debt/Balance isn't the same as credit limit.

It's going to be one of the just hang on the line & ask. Some do, even then they could do a reassessment before transferring limit, especially if any details (Income etc) are from a long time ago.  Some don't.

I read on this site someone wanted to do this with their NatWest cc and they were told they would only do this if they  can prove they have £30k in savings.

I have done this with my Lloyds cc and never had any issues.

I would keep the older card open to help with your average age of accounts, even if you reduce the CL down.
