Affordability Soft Searches

I’ve just applied for a new credit card and noticed soft searches from from for affordability, weirdly no hard search from them, maybe this was the reason why the application was referred, anyways how does affordability work I mean what do they check, do they just check if payments are being paid on time etc, and what do you think the reason for no hard search, would it be because the decision was referred so haven’t got that far yet?. Thanks.

Right I see, any reason why I haven’t had any hard searches from them on my reports yet I’ve done the full application apparently?.

Have you checked all three of your reports?

There's also a chance that there was an issue processing your application hence the referral.  The search may not have been done yet and I am sure, will appear once they process it manually.
