Universal credit child element end date

When I took a course at a college, I was officially registered as a student until end of July, even though exams were months before this.
Whatever educational establishment people are attending will confirm date where they stop being considered registered on a course as a student. The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.2 -
What happens if my child does not know whether she wants to go to college for an extra year or go straight to university until after she gets her A-level results. Do I still report the change to universal credit at the end of her course or wait until she gets her grades?0

My eldest was eighteen this year: we got an automated message in the journal to check whether they are staying on in non advanced education, if not we should "report a change" and state the end date of the course. It looks like they will end child element at this date or the start of the assessment period it relates to as others have said.
I have a second child who is sixteen, I have had another message in the journal (again automated) asking if they will be staying in non advanced education. They will pay child element up to 31 August regardless. If he is staying on in non advanced education, they will send a "to do" question mid august, where you reply either yes or no and it will stop 31 August or continue accordingly.

Not sure if i should really start a new thread for this one.
DD is 17 and was due to go back to college (2nd year of a levels) on 4th September. Due to her additional needs is refusing go back. She is still on role.
UC have just sent me the annual form to fill to confirm if in education.
She’s been for an interview yesterday and now has the job. Not had chance yet to inform college which i will do later today.
How do i report this. Do i just remove her from my claim and ignore the form? Not sure if i fill the form in to say she is on role and then remove her afterwards.
We had hoped that she would go back but with her additional needs she has decided to take an alternative route.
Hope that makes sense.Don’t put it down - put it away!
