Classic Outlook

Is there any way I can retain Classic Outlook without being switched to New Outlook. Now everytime I switch on my laptop it goes into New Outlook which to me is rubbish. The slider at the top to come our of New Outlook has disappeared and then I  have to go into help which after about 8 screens returns me temporarily to Classic Outlook. I want to dispose of New Outlook permanently.I have tried uninstalling new outlook but when I reinstall it will not allow me to install Classic Outlook, Any help will be appreciated

    I asked the same question a few weeks ago and there was a resounding silence from this forum, the Microsoft forum is equally useless and Microsoft themselves, when I eventually managed to log a complaint, sent me no solutions, just a review "how did we do"?  I don't mind the layout and quirks (change for the sake of it) and backward steps if only the calendar was linked in.  When I switched as a result of a new PC and installing Windows 11 and Office 2021, it offered me the New Outlook and inferred that it would pull everything from my old account.  It pulled through the e-mail but no contacts (had to put them all back in manually) and just an empty calendar.

    Lots of complaining in that selection from Microsoft Community and advice that doesn't work.  How does one actually contact Microsoft and get answers?  More importantly why did anyone feel it necessary to change something that has worked for years?  They even changed the right click for spelling check to left click!

    Isn't that how most computer programmers think .... ain't broke = keep 'upgrading' till it is broken!

    "If you're not interested in trying the new Outlook for Windows, you can stop using Windows Mail and Calendar and instead manage your email and calendar through your service’s webmail application, or a different email client. Support for Windows Mail, Calendar, and People is ending in 2024 so if you don’t want to use the new Outlook for Windows after trying it, you'll need to move to a different application by the end of 2024"

    What other "help" are you expecting exactly?
    The software manufacturer isn't supporting it any longer, nobody here can do anything about that.

    Either use the New Outlook or find something else.

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\Preferences]
    "UseNewOutlook"=dword:00000000
     [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\Options\General] "HideNewOutlookToggle"=dword:0000001

    I'd love to use the New Outlook BUT it doesn't work! Every time I try to switch to it, the Calendar is blank, what use is that?  Every time I click "I don't want this, revert to Classic" and fill in their questionnaire, nothing happens to my report, no response, no fix, nothing!  I paid good money to buy the latest Outlook as part of Office when I upgraded to Windows 11.  My copy of Word, Powerpoint and Excel all work as expected.  Why should I put up with shoddy software?  I don't care that other people are moving to mobile appliances, I use them as well but the bulk of my use is on my PC where I have a proper screen and keyboard and am not at risk of doing in my eyes or getting repetitive strain injury or cramp in my fingers!.
