It's not clear precisely what the OP means, but the implication is that they failed to make even the minimum payment for a couple of months.

I presumed credit card companies set up minimum payments automatically. Thanks for clearing that up.

PS. I have now setup  a standing order so it won't happen again.

Not clued up on how Nationwide work - but my credit card bank allows setting up alerts by mobile 'phone.

It's very useful to be reminded of when a payment is due.

A standing order is a fixed amount - so may not be sufficient to cover the balance ?
