Morning all
Cold and damp here again and showers on and off all day 😩
OH and I were in the conservatory last night having dinner when the heavens opened it was so loud on the roof that we missed a phone call there was a message from FIL to say MIL had fallen in the garden and he thought she had a broken hip and could one of us get there asap, he had phoned an ambulance so OH raced round there just as the paramedics got there they took her off to hospital to get her checked and her oxygen levels were very low too, we had a call this morning to say nothing broken thank goodness but they are doing a CT scan to check why the oxygen is so low so OH will probably go and see her later with FIL.
I have to take my mum to hospital later for a heart check so we will probably pass in the corridors 😬
DD has an infected bite on her foot and has got some antibiotic cream and her friend has sunstroke as she lay in the sun in 42deg heat 🙄 so all in all an eventful evening !
Taff I hope it went well with heart bloke xx
TA enjoy your time away xx
Have good days all and take care xx8 -
Morning...Well, i didn't go to Wales, Looked at the weather report, raining for three days which scuppered any chance of doing her garden. Instead, a friend brought round the computer he built for us so now I have to transfer everything over with the added bonus I've gone to Linux instead of Windows so there are all sorts of wrokarounds to sort out before I can play as I usually do, not least transferring nearly a terrabyte of data. It'll keep me busy while it perists it down outside anyway. Heart blokey changed some tablets, we had a good long chat about stuff, he's having a hard time of it and is finding his semi retirement very busy, with almost no time for work [ sound familiar?
] While it is nice to see him I also just think, retire already, you can't get that time back. Another friend is also having a tough time but it is his birthday next week so I've agreed to cater for it, which involves pulled pork, bbq beans and mash [ all fairly simple but time consuming to cook ] so that's my next week from wednesday on sorted too. I stopped off at the scrapstore yesterday on the way back to look at plants, didn't see any I wanted but I did see some catering trays, the type they put on a bain marie in Ikea for example, so I got four which saves me using any of mine and them getting damaged. They'll always come in useful anyway.
Ruby, hope they can find what did that sooner rather than later...TA, hope your packing goes super simple and you have a lovely time! And it's still nice you have such a good relationship with your gc's..snoozer, yep, they will, and it's nice you get to spend time with them too before they doIzzy, glad your little doggie is better, it's so worrying when they're ill, you can't help and you feel awful knowing you can't explain and neither can they. Florence, good luck dealing with a tough time. Rosy, good job you have a tech savvy son, your OH should employ him as his chief phone sorter
Take care all today, shout to the unwell, stressed out or tough timers...Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi8
