Good morning, it's a dry start here, we'll see how it develops.I managed to get some washing dry outside yesterday before the inevitable rain descended.
I have no particular plans today apart from the usual houework. I'm going to ring a man who cleaned our carpets a few years ago to see if he's still doing it, if so I'll ask him for an appointment. It's just for the 2 downstairs rooms. If he has retired or whatever, there are plenty of other people in the yellow pages.
Going to visit a friend tonight for the usual chat and setting the world to rights, so that will be nice.
TA, you'll have enjoyed seeing the girls, hope they are all right.I
Florence, you're having a worrying time with Mr F, I remember he had a bad time a year or two ago, I used to read your posts on Mrs SD's thread.
Fingers crossed your new medication works WL.
Good luck with the heart blokey Taff.
Hope everyone is all right and has a good day, take care folks.

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. It's fine at the moment but I fear it's the calm before the storm as rain, thunder and lightening are forecast'. Not just for today either, the next few days. Can our weather get any worse!!
I got all clothes packed yesterday for my caravan jaunt, but very few summery clothes! It was mostly jeans and jumpers! There is a brief window of summer arriving later in the week but, of course, it's not set to last long! If I waited for a decent forecast for my caravan breaks I'd never get there! As usual lots of books going with me and then of course there's plenty of football to watch in among.
I need to do a quick dust and vac up and down first job before sorting out my victuals for the next 9 days. A menu of sorts was compiled yesterday. DD is picking me up at lunchtime but need to stop off on route for some fresh bits. She is staying over with me tonight and tomorrow lunchtime we are off to Knaresborough to visit a relative before DD heads back home. We are still on the long detour to get to the van as Blubberhouses has been closed since February for urgent repairs. They have promised it will be open by the end of June but everybody has their doubts about that!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for all in need. TAFF I hope heart blokey has told you to slow down a bit, your posts tire me out. I hope our poorlies are doing as ok as they can be. Mr F is sounding a worry at the moment and no updates from NAN. Get well soon lovely lady. Take care all and stay safe xx

Good morning all , thanks for starting us off @Scarlet - good luck in getting the carpet cleaner.Happy 'holiday' @TA, I really hope you get some fine weather. The threatened heavy rain didn't appear yesterday, just heavy drizzle. I'm glad that I got the grass cut on Wednesday as the rain is going to last a few days. All the grass cuttings were taken to the tip, they had gone a bit sweaty overnight in the car. 😀
I hope that everyone has a good day, especially the poorlies amongst us. TGIF.9 -
Morning All
Raining again but doesn't seem quite as cold this morning. Washing is on the pulley, apparently it may brighten up later so I'll put it outside for a while if the sun is shining.
Hope you're ok Nanny.
Your heart blokey may say you should slow down a bit taff!
Thinking of you and Mr F Florence.
Have a good time at the caravan TA, hope the weather is kind to you.
Euro madness everywhere here with the big opener tonight. We had a draw at school and I have Scotland by luck so I'm hoping for a good result although I'm really not interested in football!
Right, Friday again so hopefully an early finish for me but it never seems to happen. Take care. XX10 -

Hope all the poorlies feel better soon and all those awaiting tests and results are ok.
Looks sunny though it’s a mirage I’m sure as the forecast is grim. Plenty jobs to do inside and outside so I’ll go with the weather for today.AA12 -

Hi everyone,
Have a good trip TA.
I hope you've managed to get a new antibiotic WL and are starting to feel better.
Yesterday was Nate day and we stayed over on Wednesday night because Chris and Crystal were both leaving early in the morning. We had a horrendous journey over there, stuck in traffic because of an overturned load, it took twice as long as normal.
We had a lovely day with Nate, his speech is coming on in leaps and bounds now, as is Esther's, they grow up so fast, I read your post yesterday TA and reminded myself to make the most of this time with the little ones.
Have a good day.11 -

Morning all. Horrible rain driving home on the M1 last night but it's cleared now.
Still not feeling wonderful but hope that improves soon. We are video calling DH's sister in Sydney in a while so need to make myself look presentable.
I woke up in a start at 7.15am, thinking it was Saturday and I had to leave home by 9am to get to St Albans. It took me a while to realise it was Friday!
Think I need to do a bit of food shopping later and I expect DH will want to watch the opening match of the Euros tonight. Our son in law is driving to Germany tomorrow with his brother and father as they have tickets for the England v Serbia game so I hope they enjoy that. DD is bringing the boys over here on Sunday for spag bol and chaos!
Happy Friday everyone.10 -
Morning everyone
It's sunny here and feels warmer but we too are forecast rain, thunder and lightening for the next few days.
I had a peaceful evening and a long bath - little one will be back for a sleepover tonight as DD will be working.
Eldest DD is on her way back to England, she's at Cologne airport and says theres loads of football fans there.
She's meeting a friend for lunch in Manchester then going to Liverpool for the Taylor Swift concert. She's coming home tomorrow just for 2 nights - I haven't told mam and dad so she'll be a nice surprise for them on Sunday morning.
Florence I hope Mr F has a better day
TA enjoy your trip
Snoozer I'm the same - I cherish the time I spend with little one
Right Better get a move on, I need to hoover before I go down to dads banking, then I'll get the bus down to work
I'll be missing again until Monday I expect so I'll wish you all a good weekend x10 -
Morning all,Enjoy your break TA, and Scarlet your chat with your friend later.Glad DH seemed a bit better Florence, and hope your journey to hospital is better than the other day.DH had a calamity yesterday, thought he'd left his phone at work, he had but it must have dropped out of his pocket. He found it on their drive & looks like he's run over it when he was driving off- one side of the screen was badly damaged. I found my old phone that he could use and DS managed to retrieve his contacts & photos by signing into icloud. Of course DH couldn't remember his password until I had a wild guess which paid off. Bit of a nightmare as he never deletes anything or backs up- technophobe!I spent most of the day at DS2s with DGS, he was in bed when I got there, but came down and lay under a blanket for a bit watching tv, ate his packed lunch apart from the sandwich, requested toast instead. He said his throat felt scratchy, & runny nose, but seemed a bit better later. I'm presuming he's gone to school, not heard otherwise. I think the rest did him good, he's had a busy week at school with sports day and cricket, and all being well a busy weekend ahead with tournaments. I got home in time to bung the chicken into the ninjagrill, stuck some big spuds in the microwave to cook and finished them off alongside the chicken. I love the Ngrill, it has a temperature probe that you can leave in the chicken or whatever and tells you on the control panel what temp it is.Raining again!I need a Friday tidy so I'd better get on with it. Take care and enjoy the weekend if you can x
