Hi, I’ve been contacted by a uk law firm regarding the above. To date I’ve not been able to confirm this apparently “next big scandal about to hit”. Has anyone any further insight into this allegation? Thank you

Were you cold called? If so ignore them. Ignore ambulance chasers as well

Well Quilter are not one of the cheapest ways to invest, but whether you would call it overcharging is another matter altogether.
Ignore all cold calls about anything.1 -
If it is the "Next Big Scandal" The you will be able just like all the previous ones to be able to claim yourself.
Don not engage with these leaches.Life in the slow lane4 -

I suspect they are referring to the Quilter (intrinsic) salesforce and whether they have been similar to SJP. It won't be about the Quilter platform.
It would not surprise me at all to see the ambulance chasers go after other salesforces like they have with SJP. However, I suspect they will not be as lucky if that is the case.
Do you have an instrinsic/Quilter sales rep? Statistically, cold-calling people on the basis that they may use a Quilter rep seems unlikely to yield much in the way of positive responses.
Also, its unlikely it was a law firm. Cold calling by law firms is not allowed.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). I have also seen the same Ad;s, I had a private advisor who 'sold out' to QUILTER; Should I make any contact or wait and see what happens?0

Are you saying your "private adviser" put your investments on the Quilter platform? if so, that is allowed
Quilter has multiple business arms - which one are you referring to and is it the same one as the ambulance chaser is referring to?
What wrongdoing do you think has taken place?
The ambulance chaser adverts are appearing because the FCA wrote to the 20 biggest advice firms in February to ask a range of questions about ongoing services. These were mainly to ascertain stats and checking if people were being refunded if no-ongoing services were provided. Part of this was to ensure that firms have systems and controls in place to make sure that everyone paying for ongoing services is getting them and if they are not, then the person is not charged or is refunded a charge if it was taken.
Quilter being one of the biggest, were one of those 20 and that is why bottom scrapers are trying to con gullible people into using them to raise a complaint where they can take around 40% plus VAT for something that doesn't cost any money to do yourself.
