I submitted a claim to SJP direct in over three months ago. I received acknowledgment via my SJP partner but have heard nothing since. How long are claims taking to be processed

The complaints team is stretched by the volume of complaints. I read they have had over 15,000 so far. They have to contact the SJP partner and obtain details going back many years, which is time-consuming. It is going to push a number of SJP partners even further into debt and force some under.
There are also a lot of people trying it on, apparently. Those who don't meet the criteria, such as those whose product was sold before 1 January 2013 or for periods prior to 2018 (which didn't need annual servicing) or have actually had ongoing services and have still put in a complaint against their SJP partner. They will be clogging the system too.
This is why they switched to a pro-active historic servicing review and won't require people to complain, typically, you measure in years rather than weeks or months. 2 years would not be a surprise for some.
