PIP Reassessment

I’m around 7 months into the PIP reassessment obviously aware there is a backlog so keep getting messages telling me this.
My health has been deteriorating, I’m already on high rates for both PIP parts, but I’m 99.9% certain I am about to be diagnosed with cancer, just going through final tests, and this comes as no surprise to me given how much my health has declined over the last 18 months.
I need to tell the DWP of this change, will this force another reassessment or can I just notify them of the new diagnosis as over the last few months my health has got worse not better.

For me there is nothing much more to do, your PIP will continue until your reassessment. Once you have the new questionaire you can add you potentially new diagnosis.
I say this because your PIP payment has no room to increase, if you were on standard then I would say advise them once you have full diagnosis, as this may increase your payment.
Ultimately you can advise them, this may trigger a new assessment, but the wait time will similar.Proud to have dealt with our debtsStarting debt 2005 £65.7K.

I agree with Pete and there's nothing to report here because you're already on the maximum award possible.1
