TR1 Form Section 8

Hi ,
I am signing the contract for my flat for selling ( i am the seller ) , My solicitor has sent me TR1 form and section 8 is not ticked . When i read a section 8 it is worded in past tense ( Trasnffer has received from Transferee) I haven't received any money yet , so it is ok to tick that box ? just want to get opinion on this if any one has done it before ? will appricate your input into this .

I would think your solicitor will complete all of that when contracts are ready for exchange. Ask your solicitor.0

Yes, as above, you are only required to sign (and get witnessed) in the appropriate box. The completed TR1 won't be sent to the buyer's solicitors until after completion, but they need to have the signed copy in their file before completion day. The solicitor will tick the box after completion when monies have been received (and therefore 'past' tense).
