I'll be reaching state pension age shortly with the full state pension of £221-20pw.
I'm not usually totally dumb but I can't seem to find any clarity on what the savings limit is for capital to be disregarded: is it 6k or 10k?
Thanks to all.

Capital limits for housing benefit are decided by your local authority, you'll need to ask them or it maybe on their website.

Not at state pension age, if single (or both over state pension age (also if the one under SPA claims certain benefits)) then it's £10k

So it's only when under SPA that the LA can set the limit?

That's what I thought but the government website put some doubt in my mind.

    Thanks!👍

    Was getting confused with CTR.
With housing benefit  there is a standard £6k lower threshold for working age  same as UC. So LA can't change that
Different LA's can have different rules on CTR but only on work age, the rules are standard for those over SPA  .
