Stopped at a bus stop

Hi guys, so I stupidly stopped at a bus stop to drop off my boyfriend at the station 3 days in a row. I didn’t realise until I received the first pcn so obviously I didn’t stop there anymore. But I now have received 3 pcn’s 🙈. I understand it’s an offence, I just didn’t think I’ll get penalty for stopping there for a few seconds. Is there anyway to pay the first pcn and challenge the other 2 pcn’s? Tia

How are we supposed to offer advice based on such scant information? Where did this happen? Is this a Parking Charge Notice from an unregulated private parking company or is it a Penalty Notice from APCOA or SABA or is it it a council issued PN?

Also, please read the Newbies/FAQ thread.

It's only an "offence" and a "penalty" if it is a council issued charge. Anything else is simply an invoice.
  • It’s issued by a council. I thought bus lane penalties are only issued by council so that’s why I didn’t mention it.
  • All 3 of them are pretty much the same

Not a bus lane. It's a bus stop...

Your best bet is to take this over to our friends on the Free Traffic Legal Advice forum as they are the council and police experts.

"Penalty Charge" from London Borough of Harrow. So it is a Penalty/Fine. As we only deal with Parking Charge Notices issued by unregulated private parking companies, I suggest you go to the Free Traffic Legal Advice forums where they specialise in Penalty Notices:

IMHO you should pay them and learn a lesson from it because you can't park on bus stops.

Literally anywhere else in that road would have been OK to drop off a passenger (as long as it isn't a red route).  Even a double yellow is OK.

I'd be surprised if FTLA say anything different. Bus stops are not drop off bays.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
