Wembley Escape post concert

Hi Dudes

I am going to watch AC/DC at Wembley on the 7th July (sunday).......

Ideally I want to get to Kings Cross station so I can get a train home north....

What is the best and quickest way to get back to KX?  And will I likely be there in a reasonable time?

Alternatively where could I stay (in London) away from Wembley on route to the station...?

I don't really know London and never been to Wembley before either....

Ta

almost all the crowd will funnel down Olympic Way (Wembley Way) to Wembley Park station.

This can take a good 30 - 40 minutes as the police and stewards control the "flow" of people into the station.

Then it's about half an hour on the Underground to King X. So I would allow AT LEAST an hour from leaving Wembley to getting to Kings Cross.

So it certainly can take a bit of time to get out of Wembley, There are plenty of hotels but tend to get booked up and be expensive on event days.

Your best bet is to go back by Wembley Central tube station (bakerloo line) it's further than Wembley Park but you will have little if any queue to get into the station
I went back that way after the fa cup semi final a few years ago was straight onto the tube platform no queuing

And from the bakerloo, your best bet is changing at Baker St to go to Kings Cross / St Pancras.

If you timed it right, you might be able to switch to the overground at Queen's Park to get to Euston, and it's then a short walk down Euston Road to get to Kings Cross (head out of the station, and turn left).
