I also received a letter from Moorside after failing my appeal process and complaint through One Parking Solutions and being sent two other collection demands from both ZZPS and another company. I wonder if it's worth writing to Moorside explaining my circumstances in the hope that they'll understand why I had a friend, designated driver, drive me to hospital after I'd had a knee replacement and we stopped, without getting out of the car, to try to get me comfortable and for her to have a quick bite to eat, for seven minutes in an empty, private car park at the end of May. I don't want to pay such an extortionate fine and am hoping that I would have a compassionate judge should I go to court. For two weeks I was in excruciating agony, like giving birth without any reprieve and had to return to the hospital with excessive bruising thinking I'd broken my ankle. I cannot believe that my appeal was rejected. What kind of people are they? I later learned that they're all businesses making money off unfortunate people in what I call unethical/immoral ways.0

No chance of humanity from Moorside Legal in out experience of Roboclaim firms.
Don't try to sort it out before court except get your MP to write on your behalf, including to the landowner. that can work. Do it this week.
Never ever ever stop on private land or side roads with OPS black & white signs up. Your friend could have stopped 'on street' on a double yellow or even temporarily in a bay. No PCN possible.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

MP has already written, no luck there. It was a stupid mistake but the fine is too high. i'd rather spend my pension on bona fide charities, or even the Council £35 fines system such as driving by mistake in a bus lane or taking a turn before the signs saying 'no right' or 'no left' turn have been erected because they are affordable and the money goes towards keeping our country running?0

Indeed.
So you won't be paying OPS.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

In another Forum about OPS and the parking fine someone wrote, "Expect an escalation to a Letter of Claim from Moorside, at which stage you must engage with them, and the NEWBIES FAQ Announcement, second post, takes you through that." OPS sent me a lengthy email explaining about Blue Badge holders not being excempt from the fines. Now I'm confused, engage with Moorside or not?0

Which one.2 -
Yes OPS use Moorside Legal these days.
Nobody is saying to ignore a LBC.
The second post of the NEWBIES thread covers that. This is not new and there is no conflict in the advice you've read. You ignore £170 threatograms from Trace.
You come back when you get a solicitor's letter (LBC or LoC, same thing). Fully covered in the resource thread what to do when.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
