Four PCN's - Need Help!
Comments
-
Hey guys,
Thank you so much for all your support and putting my mind at ease.
I managed to fight off two of the PCNs. The company paid one by default and the one left that I appealed and lost is now causing me problems. I received the below letter from a debt collection agency, can someone please advise what action I should take (if any) and what I should expect now?

Also on another note, I move house end of August do I need to inform the debt management company of my new address?
Thanks in advance!

why is a letter from DRP causing you problems?
you inform DRP and CPM of your new address2 -

Love this format. We shall use it when sending replies to PPC and Debt Collectors.
You are here:- I informed you that I am not liable for the parking charge (evidence supplied)
- Offer was made for you to cancel the PCN ( you have ignored this advice)
- Your expenses will therefore increase
- I will defend the claim in full
- You will discontinue or lose the claim in court
- You will be held liable for my expenses
- Email your confirmation or send in writing
- Cancel the PCN
- Close the case instantly

All of which is fully covered in the NEWBIES thread.Grizebeck said:why is a letter from DRP causing you problems?

I don't understand why people take DRP seriously. An old address must be 'erased' immediately by DRP and CPM. That is all.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I'm not sure if you are taking the mickey out of me here?
I have come here to seek advise and none of these replies help.0 -
Not 'taking the mickey', but underlining things that do seem to be missed very often by new posters.
1) Do not worry about debt collector letters. They are meaningless and can safely be used to line the budgie's cage.
2) Do keep reading the newbies and make sure you understand the steps. This is so often missed, and leads to questions being asked and re-asked where the answers are there all the time. Hence why I say that "you", they, anybody must understand the steps and follow them. The pen is mightier than the sword ..... and I have many pens.3 -
Not at all. The replies have all helped.xskullx said:I'm not sure if you are taking the mickey out of me here?

The advice is correct and nobody was taking the mickey. If you re-read the NEWBIES thread you will find that the stage of 'ignoring debt collectors' is fully covered. Normal stuff.
As is 'erasing any old address'. Vital!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
