Halifax Clarity Card Issues

I received my 'Second Clarity Card' for my existing account yesterday. It has a new expiry date of 03/29.

So I now have a Clarity Credit Card I can use for the entire duration of my trip outside the UK, as well as the original card that will expire halfway through it.
    So problem solved, sort of.

I will still be sent a replacement for my 'First Clarity Card', which will sit on my doormat until I return. Not particularly secure, but I won't activate it, and I could freeze it too, if I wanted, and my doormat is not shared by anyone else.

Perhaps it would be better if the UK and European customers had their own card payment systems more alligned to UK and European cultural norms and customers who tend to travel more globally, and for longer, than US customers in the USA where the 30 day replacement rule is still the norm.

Anyway, this is a proven workaround and I hope this helps any other Halifax Clarity Card users who find themselves in a similar situation.
