Morning all! Garden centre visit yesterday turned into a shopping spree followed by a visit to HB which also was. I've used up my vouchers now, and gave myself a few plants, which were augmnted by my friend bringing her excess too. But I have given her her plants so my greenhouse is emptier and we had a nice time. Today someone else is coming to collect her things, more stuff out...I have a job to do later and tomorrow, the garage/shed needs going though for a tip run on Monday, we have to find somewhere else to put a lot of the stuff because the garage will be coming down in advance of building work. Going to Wales at the weekend to help my sister with her garden. I've cleared it a few times but she can't keep on top of it with her working at what she does [most conscientious and honest person on the planet, doesn't like people though
] and she's sorting out other parent related gubbins so I'm helping out. Made the Green Thai curry soup with noodles, omg, it's hot! Definitely good for clearing out...so that's supper as OH is on lates again.
Camelot, glad you're happy with your result. SO, well done, although isn't is funny what other people think is important..Gers, you have been ill and still coughing, maybe you've got an inner ear thing going on. TA, my cupboards are the same, I know I've got stuff I thought would be lovely that's sitting there reproachfully waiting for me to get round to it. Ruby, glad your mother is being helped. Izzy, I liked your foot down with a firm handand you'll be fine, you'll be swishing around the decks in finery before you know it, although maybe some swimming lessons beforehand migh help with the water?
Allie, i like your hobbit style, second breakfasts are the way to go! Scarlet, enjoy the quiz, glad the birthday meal went well! WL, glad you've got some anti's, hope they kick in soon...Nanny, hope you're recovering well...and your dad. snoozer, hope your acupuncture went alright and helps. Rosy, you're making my mouth water with thoughs of fresh cooked bread! Topsy, wel done you for adding in a house move too! Take care all, wrap up warm!!

Morning all.
IzzyBee - you are brave - no way would I go on a cruise.
I dug to the bottom of my small chest freezer last night - got 2 day's dinners out so we have a choice. I found Frikadellen and burger buns plus some chicken goujons. I think we will have the chicken with chips tonight. We usually eat at SA on a Wednesday but this week it will depend on the hospital.

Hi everyone,
Esther is napping so I have a few minutes before I need to go and sew.
Gers, I use the laundry sheets, I like them and they seem to dissolve completely but I don't know if they're any more economical because we have very hard water so I need to use a couple of sheets. The first lot I got were Freddy which were reviewed very well and vaunted their eco credentials but too late I found out they were shipped from America so that negated that. The latest lot are Donieli who advertise as a small British company but the sheets are made in China so again I feel a bit cheated.
Have a good day.

Thanks @Snoozer - we have soft water here so probably one sheet would do it. I'm looking at Dr. Beckmann ones, both bio and non-bio, they are a German company, have a UK address but can't find any information about where they are manufactured. I'll take a risk and do a trial. A lot of companies have overseas manufacturing sites because of the cost here. For instance, this Glasgow based company It's not great but better than paying three times the cost - sometimes something has to give!Nails done and shopping done.7

Afternoon all, I feel tired today. DGS Sports day started at 10 but I couldn't get a lift so booked a taxi at 9.20. Scared of being late, because you never know going up there, but the driver arrived within a couple of minutes so I was there with half an hour to spare
. No one else was on the field although the equipment had been set up. I walked around for a bit until I saw someone else heading there. Anyway it all seemed to go very well and he was pleased to see me so I'm glad I went. Took photos to send to his DM & DS2. There is a small train station nearby so caught that into town as I knew I'd then be in time for our bus. Similar scenario tomorrow with a cricket tournament, but I'll go with DS for that.
Izzy , ooh I'd love to do that cruise.Gers I've been using the Donielli sheets that Snoozer mentioned, and am quite happy with them, though I didn't know they were shipped from China!Taff, enjoy your time in Wales but give yourself a break too, you're always busy busy!I had to change my Oc..o order time from this morning due to the sports so it's coming early evening instead, the fridge is looking a bit bare so we're having a hotch potch from the freezer for teaWell I'd better go and do something useful, get well soon poorlies .PS. Camelot I had to read back as I knew I must have missed the news about your job- so pleased for you, you can relax now x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Don't need a courier, just need a jiffy bag and Postman Pat!
