Morning All
Thanks for the start Gers.
It's a beautiful morning but still very chilly. I have throws from the sofa in the WM so will hang those out before I go to work.
Taff - I am happy with the work decision although I would have taken severance if offered!
Hope your treatment went ok Nanny and your DDad is still improving.
I got stuck in traffic on my way home yesterday, took an hour to do a 20 min journey so was in a bad mood when I got home! Half an hour in the garden sorted me out, and a long, hot bath as I had been cold all day.
Not much going on here, just staying out of trouble until the end of term! Take care. XX10 -
Morning
Yesterday was the last early start/long day - glad they’re over. Managed if avoid the usual headache by having two breakfasts and drinking more 😂
Work today too but a more normal day.Builder is going well but still loads to do - almost given up on keeping on top of the dust!Hoping the weather improves, it’s been so chilly especially in the evening.
have a good day all - best wishes for all those that ar unwell

It's very bright here too. Yesterday stayed chilly with that nasty wind still hanging around, seems today will be the same.I really enjoyed the exercise class though I skipped the heel-to-toe walking as I was very wobbly for no known reason, usually I'm good at it, even backwards. My lunch of liver and onions was very tasty. In the afternoon I organised the chimney sweep to come on Wednesday afternoon, luckily he's at the big house in the morning so saves him a trip. This morning I'm having my nails done then will, finally, do some shopping as I'm scraping the bottom of the barrel.@Camelot - I read about the long holdup near the big bridge, think it was some sort of roadworks problem, sorry you were caught up.Hugs @everyone.10

Good morning, thanks for starting Gers.
It's sunny here, but chilly. Yesterday was positively cold.
I forgot to say yesterday that we were going out last night with family to celebrate one of my dgs's 18th birthday - put it down to early morning dopeyness. It was just close family, we met up in a Newcastle restaurant and it was very nice, a lovely evening.
Not much on today except housework, and the quiz tonight.
Glad that the work situation is satisfactory Camelot.
Hope everyone has a good day, thoughts to the poorly and recovering people.
Take care folks.

Morning all. Still chilly here.
Well, I filled out an online consultation form for the GP yesterday and had a fairly quick message back to say someone from the Urgent Care Team would phone me sometime during the morning, which they did. Good service there. I've been given 5 days of penicillin so hope that sorts it out but it's no better so far.
I'm meant to be playing for one of my Morris sides tonight, about an hour's drive away, so will try not to let them down. DD is also bringing the 8 month old over this morning and staying for lunch so he will keep me awake!
I'm currently catching up with the Cormoran Strike series of novels and can see that one of the local libraries has the next one in the series sitting on their shelf so will try to pop over later and get that one. I hate not having anything to read.
Hope everyone else is doing ok. I'm still waiting for summer to arrive.10 -
That's such good service from your GP @WL. The tablets will work soon.I meant to ask earlier - has anyone use washing leaves / sheets instead of powder or liquid? I'm exploring if they are better or the same as traditional stuff, and of course they are easier to store. Any views please?8

Morning everyone just getting ready to go to one of my cleaning jobs it’s bright and sunny for the minute but chilly I had to give in yesterday and put the heating on we were shivering it was so cold . I won’t go into to much detail but I’ve had a good talking to with hubby and I’m afraid I’ve put my foot down with a firm hand about a lot of things anyway we have sorted a few things out and one of the things that has come out of it is we are having a proper holiday next year now bear in mind I’m terrified of water I can’t even watch titanic we have now booked a Norwegian fijord five day cruise for next may from Newcastle the girl was very nice on the phone she give me lots of advice we got a good price I will be saving like mad now and I will be drowning every night now when I go to sleep so if you don’t hear from me after may i guarantee it’s murder he will get some peace now I am going to try and pretend it’s not happening why don’t I ever learn to keep my big mouth shut . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing8

Morning all
Dry and bright here but still a chill in the air yesterday I had a t-shirt on with a fleece but still needed a summer jacket, it would be so nice to have some actual warm weather ! Dd had temps of 32 yesterday lucky thing.
Three people coming today all being well so I thought we may go to a local nature reserve which is nice for a walk around there is also a good cafe there for tea and cake afterwards but I am open to suggestions if they want to do something else.
Dinner tonight will be something with mince maybe a spag bol or a chilli, I need to do a shopping list for tomorrow as well.
Took mum for her follow up with the dr yesterday her heart rate is still too low so they have suggested a pacemaker which will make her feel much better, they are going to write to the consultant at the hospital who she is seeing Friday and ask him to put her on the list to have one fitted, my FIL had one about a year ago and feels like a different person now so hopefully it will help her.
Have good days all and take care xx

Good morning all
The you for the start Gers
Cold and wet yesterday, not much done.
Ordered two fence panels, it didn't seem important, but my neighbour made a comment. Hope the gardener will be able to take the old ones out and just slot them in. It's not a very tall fence
Fridge freezer needs a defrost and tidy.
Take careIf you walk at night no-one will see you cry.10 -
Morning folks and thanks GERS. Currently sunny but who knows if it will last. I have stopped believing the forecasters. Yesterday the forecast was for rain all day and they were wrong! We didn't see any rain until evening. Of course they were right about the temps and it was chilly all day.
So today is another day of same old same old. I might carry on sorting the kitchen cupboards out. A few well ood items got binned yesterday. I don't know why I bought them in the first place. The usual good idea at the time I suppose.
Have a good day all if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, poorly loved ones and fed up. NAN I hope your treatment went well yesterday. Take care all and stay safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"9
