Transferring out of Metro

I don't seem to be able to transfer any money out of Metro so are any of you experiencing this also?

I tried sending a few £1000 to my Ulster savings account & got an error message. I figured maybe it needs to be sent to a current account so I've just tried setting that up, selected £100 as the amount yet still got the same error message.

"somethings not quite right, an unexpected error occurred".

And their helpful "24/7" messaging service also doesn't work. I can't do a thing in it as it's constantly trying to log me out.

You need to have setup a nominated account or payee

When I went to make the payment there were no accounts previously listed. I've had a look in the app but can't find it so do you know how I can check what this nominated account is supposed to be?

Until I created one yesterday none were listed.

Won't let me send to a savings or current account in my name.

Metro suggested uninstalling the app & trying again. Did this & it didn't work.

Next step will be customer service & shut the account down. Theres better interest out there & I can't be bothered with this hassle. Good job I don't need that money this instant.

Yeah that was the fix in the end actually. I had to do what they said but in browser form, which they didn't say.

Everything seems to get pushed towards apps these days. It'd be great if these apps would do everything a browser can do. Personally I prefer browser banking but for some that i barely use (Metro is one) I only use it on my phone, so it's the app.
