After the section 20 consultation period ends. Broadly speaking, how long am i likely to be given to pay my contribution towards the works, is anyone able to quantify the period of grace ?
My proportion is about £20,000. Are they likely to give a couple of months or even longer? Would the management company start adding late payment fees or other charges if not paid straight away?

They will usually request payment once it's decided which contractor is being used, at the end of the consultation period. Some freeholders/MA's will agree a period of notice but others won't. You need to check with your freeholder/MA what their intentions are. They won't usually commence works until everyone has paid. One exception is local authority landlords who do often agree payment plans for major works.0
